Dr Mahmoud Abdel Hakim MD,FEBU., from Cairo Egypt, obtained his medical degree from

the Cairo University, Egypt in 2001. He joined Urology department in September 2002, where

he finished his residency in general and pediatric urology and specialized in Laparoscopic

surgery. After finishing his Masters Degree in 2004, Dr Abdelhakim was appointed as

Assistant lecturer of urology in Cairo University. In 2007 Dr Abdelhakim joned the urology

department in Hopital Henri Mondor, Creteil Fr. Under the Supervision of Prof CC. Abbou he

completed Clinical fellowship in laparoscopy.

Dr Mahmoud Abdelhakim recieved his Laser Prostatectomy training at Alshorouk Hospital,

being the first private practice in the MENA region to accuire the Luminis Laser Suite. Dr

Mahmoud now has experience with over 1200 cases of Holep, with prostate sizes reaching over 200 g. In 2010, Dr AbdelHakim was appointed as Lecturer of urology Cairo University urology department, after obtaining his MD, with the thesis title “Posterior Reconstruction Of Rhabdosphincter for Rapid recovery of continence after Laparoscopic radical Prostatectomy”. In 2018 to 2020 Dr Abdelhakim was appointed as an associate professor at National Cancer Institute to work in Urology department on Davinci Si where he recieved his experience in Robotic surgery. Dr Mahmoud Abdelhakim is the current chairman of the Egyptian Society of Robotic Surgery. Dr Mahmoud Abdelhakim received CMR certificate in February 2022, and in July 2022 acquired 2 Versius systems in Al-Shorouk hospital and King Fahd Unit in cairo university, to work as the Director of Rosbotic surgery in CGH and head of traininging Cairo university with a vast experience completing more than 350 cases of Robotic Radical Prostatectomy. In September 2022 after completing 30 cases Dr Mahmoud received his proctorship licence from CMR. Dr Mahmoud Abdelhakim is currently a Professor of urology at Cairo university, as well as Director of urology department at Alshorouk Hospital. Dr Mahmoud is also working as CBD in Emirates Jumeirah Hospital Dubai between October 2024 and July 2025. Dr Mahmoud is currently consultant of Urology at Alzahra Private Hospital Dubai
