Obstructive sleep apnea treatment

What Is Genio?

Genio is a next‑generation therapy designed for people with moderate to severe Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA). It’s a discreet neurostimulator implanted beneath the chin, paired with an activation chip and adhesive patch that you wear externally during sleep to keep your airway clear.

How It Works

Implant + External Wearable: A tiny, under‑chin implant houses electrodes that gently stimulate the hypoglossal nerve branches.

Tongue Forward Motion: At night, stimulation activates the muscles that move the tongue forward—preventing airway blockage.

What Sets Genio Apart?

  • Minimally Invasive: Requires only a small chin incision and a short hospital visit.
  • Safe by Design: No internal batteries, sensors, or leads—plus, no need for surgical replacements.
  • MRI Friendly: Full-body MRI scans are safe with Genio.
  • Easily Upgradable: Thanks to its external activation chip, you can enjoy future enhancements without more surgery.
  • Proven Benefits
  • Clinical data shows that Genio is both safe and effective in improving:
  • OSA severity
  • Snoring

How to Use Genio: Fast, Simple, Routine

  1. Daytime – Charge the activation chip using the included charging unit.
  2. Before Sleep – Stick on a new adhesive patch, attach the chip under your chin.
  3. During Night – The device senses your breathing and delivers timed stimulation.
  4. Morning – Peel off the patch, detach the chip, and charge it again. It’s quick and hassle‑free.
