Dr. Ashraf Elhoufy
Consultant – Critical Care
Dr. Ashraf Elhoufy is a highly experienced Consultant in Critical Care with over 35 years of dedicated experience in intensive care medicine. He graduated with honors from the Alexandria Faculty of Medicine in 1984 and obtained a Master’s Degree in Chest Diseases with a subspecialty in Critical Care in 1989. He is a Member and Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP – UK, FRCP – London) and holds the European Diploma in Intensive Care Medicine (EDIC).
Dr. Elhoufy has extensive expertise across all areas of critical care practice and has made significant academic and clinical contributions throughout his career. He serves as Professor of Medicine at Dubai Medical College and has been an Examiner for the Royal College of Physicians since 2008.
At Dubai Hospital (DHA), Dr. Elhoufy chaired the Infection Control Committee and the Mortality & Morbidity Committee for over two decades, in addition to initiating the Antibiotic Stewardship Program. He currently serves as Vice President of the Emirates Intensive Care Society (EICS).
