Consultant Endocrinologist
Dr. Nishanth Sanalkumar is an American Board-Certified Consultant Endocrinologist with over 20 years of international experience. An alumnus of the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, he completed his residency in Internal Medicine at New York Medical College, Westchester Medical Center, USA, followed by a Fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at the State University of New York at Buffalo.
He is dual American Board-certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism, and is a Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology (FACE). During his fellowship, he was awarded a research grant by the Endocrine Fellows Foundation, USA, for his active contributions to clinical research.
Since 2009, Dr. Nishanth has been practicing in the UAE. Before joining Al Zahra Hospital Dubai, he served as Consultant and Head of the Department of Endocrinology at NMC Royal Hospital, Sharjah, where he played a leading role in developing evidence-based diabetes management guidelines and chaired the Endocrine Multidisciplinary Tumor Board. He is also an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at the College of Medicine, University of Sharjah, and a frequent speaker at international conferences and CME events.
