• European Board-Certified Consultant Nuclear Medicine (Portugal).
• Former Resident and Nuclear Medicine Specialist at the NM Department of the Portuguese Institute for Oncology, Lisbon, PT.
• Former Senior Nuclear Medicine Specialist at NM Department of Hospital CUF Descobertas, Lisbon, PT.
• Former Head of Department in the Nuclear Medicine Department of the Portuguese Armed Forces Hospital.
Member of the Portuguese Society of Nuclear Medicine and European Society of Nuclear Medicine
(EANM).
He has more than 19 years of experience in Nuclear Medicine procedures, conventional,
SPECT-CT and PET- CT, in oncological and non-oncological settings, as well as in Therapeutic Nuclear
Medicine.
His area of expertise is PET-CT oncological imaging, mainly with 18F-FDG, as well oncological and
non-oncological imaging in the field of Orthopaedics, Neurology and Cardiology.
He is a former Head of Department of the NM Department of the Portuguese Armed Forces Hospital.
He is also a former invited teacher of Cardiology at Nova School of Science and Technology,
and Pathophysiology at Nova Medical School, Lisbon. He has been a speaker at multiple events in the
field of Nuclear Medicine, in Europe as well as in Dubai.
