Dr Sahrkaw Azat Muhyaldeen

Consultant Cardiologist EP and Devices

Dr. Sahrkaw Azat Muhyaldeen is a highly experienced Consultant Cardiologist with more than 17 years of consultant-level practice. He specializes in cardiac electrophysiology and device therapy, with extensive expertise in managing complex arrhythmias and advanced cardiac device implantation.

After completing his medical degree at Mosul Medical School, Dr. Sahrkaw trained in general medicine and obtained a Diploma in Internal Medicine with distinction from the Royal Postgraduate Medical School (RPMS), London. He achieved Membership and later Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians (UK).

He pursued specialist cardiology training at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee, followed by dedicated research at Good Hope Hospital, Birmingham, on cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) for heart failure—resulting in several publications and presentations at international scientific meetings.

He then completed advanced subspecialty training in electrophysiology and device therapy at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham. Dr. Sahrkaw was appointed Consultant Cardiologist at Manchester Royal Infirmary, where he worked for over 18 years and served as Electrophysiology Lead for Manchester Foundation Trust.

In August 2024, he relocated to the UAE, initially working at CMC before joining Al Zahra Hospital in September 2025.
