Our lactation consultant Laura is a qualified midwife and international board certified lactation consultant (IBCLC), she has over 10 years of experience supporting new mothers and their families in both London and Dubai. With a specialised interest in postnatal care, she is passionate about helping families navigate the crucial period after childbirth. Her midwifery experience teamed with her expertise in breastfeeding support equips her to provide holistic guidance, tailored to each families needs, to ensure both both mother and baby thrive. Commited to empowering women through education and compassionate care, Laura strives to always create a nurturing and supportive environment for new parents.

 

Inpatient Lactation Services

Immediately after birth, our lactation consultant will work closely with new mothers during their hospital stay to ensure both mom and baby get off to the best start. We will provide:

  • Individualized care based on your personal preferences on how you would like to feed your baby.
  • One-on-one assistance with positioning, latching, and breastfeeding techniques.
  • Guidance on milk production, including how to manage your baby’s feeding cues.
  • Support for mothers experiencing difficulties such as nipple pain, low milk supply, or infant tongue-tie.

Our lactation consultant will visit you in your room, answer your questions, and help build your confidence as you begin breastfeeding.

 

Outpatient Lactation Services

Challenges can sometimes arise after you leave the hospital, and we’re here to help. If you encounter any issues with breastfeeding, our outpatient lactation services offer:

  • Personalized consultations for breastfeeding concerns such as low milk supply, mastitis, or poor latch.
  • Help with pumping and storing breast milk.
  • Assistance for mothers of premature or multiple babies.

You can schedule an appointment with our certified lactation consultant who will assess your concerns and provide solutions tailored to your needs. Our goal is to empower you with the knowledge and tools to overcome any challenges.

 

Home Visit Lactation Services

For added convenience and support, we offer home visit services. Our lactation consultant can visit you in the comfort of your own home, providing one-on-one, hands-on assistance. Home visits are ideal for mothers who may have difficulty traveling, need more in-depth support, or simply prefer the comfort of home.

Our home services include:

Treatment steps

  • The outer layer of the cornea (epithelium) is dissolved.
  • The layer is removed or moved to the side.
  • The vision is corrected through tissue ablation
  • with an excimer laser.
  • A protective contact lens is placed over the eye
  • until the epithelium grows back within a few days.

Characteristics

  • More suitable for patients with thin corneas.
  • Least expensive Laser Vision Correction procedure.

Treatment steps

  • A flap, a hinged piece of tissue, is created with a device (LASIK) or highly precise femtosecond laser (Femto-LASIK).
  • The flap is carefully folded back to treat the corneal tissue.
    The vision is corrected through tissue ablation with an excimer laser.
  • The flap is returned to its original position, protecting the eye much like a natural bandage.

Characteristics

  • Treatment standard for over 20 years.
  • Normally quick visual recovery.
  • Performed by many clinics and doctors.

Treatment steps

  • A small piece of corneal tissue (lenticule) and a
    small incision are created inside the cornea.
  • The lenticule is removed through the small
    incision.
  • By removing the lenticule, the vision correction
    is achieved.
