Dr. Shahzad Maqbool is a distinguished neurological and spinal surgeon with a remarkable professional career. He graduated in 1989 from University of the Punjab, Lahore which is the largest university in Pakistan. He did his fellowship in neurosurgery from the College of Surgeons of South Africa in 1999. He did his fellowship in Interventional Pain Practice in 2013.
Dr. Shahzad has 26 years of experience as a consultant Neurological and Spinal surgeon including 18 years as head of the department in prestigious hospitals in South Africa and United Arab Emirates. He was the first neurosurgeon in the history of the country who went to Northern cape province of South Africa and established Neurological and Spinal services in the Government and Private sector before moving to United Arab Emirates in 2010.He has been working in UAE as a consultant Neurosurgeon for the past 15 years.
He has performed over 5000 major brain and spine procedures in adults and children apart from procedures involving chronic pain management.
