Dr. Anas Massad
Critical Care
Dr. Anas Massad is a highly experienced Consultant in Critical Care Medicine and Internal Medicine, with over 20 years of clinical expertise across the Middle East and Canada. He currently practices as an ICU Consultant at Al Zahra Hospital Dubai, where he plays a key role in the multidisciplinary management of critically ill patients, focusing on stabilization, advanced life support, and comprehensive critical care.
Dr. Massad completed his Fellowship in Adult Critical Care Medicine at Sunnybrook Hospital, University of Toronto, one of Canada’s leading tertiary care and trauma centers. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine and holds a Specialty Certificate in Adult Critical Care Medicine from the Jordan Medical Council.
Throughout his career, Dr. Massad has gained extensive experience in high-acuity environments, including medical, surgical, trauma, and neurocritical care units. Prior to joining Al Zahra Hospital Dubai, he served for more than ten years as an ICU Consultant at Tawam Hospital in Al Ain, a major tertiary care center affiliated with Johns Hopkins Medicine.
He has been actively involved in managing complex critical cases, including polytrauma, neurocritical conditions, and multi-organ failure. His expertise includes advanced mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic monitoring, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), and a wide range of critical care procedures. Dr. Massad is also experienced in organ donation processes, including donor management and procurement.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Massad is dedicated to medical education and has mentored residents and fellows in both clinical and simulation-based settings. He holds multiple international certifications, including ACLS Instructor status, and has completed advanced training in transplant procurement management and brain death determination.
Licensed in the UAE and Jordan, and previously in Canada, Dr. Massad brings a global perspective to patient care, combining clinical excellence with strong leadership in critical care medicine.
